A day of ‘green’ events was held at Brilley Village Hall on Sunday 19th of March 2017.
Thank you to all who joined us, Sarah for leading the walk, Joe and Trish for the great lunch, all those who brought seeds and plants and all the organisations who contributed.
It was a great day !!
Despite the stiff breeze and rain, 12 people set off for the walk and returned with red cheeks and a good appetite to the Village Hall. Awaiting was a truly impressive display from local environment groups and a delicious lunch. (See slideshow for list of participants) There was something for everyone from owls to mammals to Greenpeace and Wildlife Trusts.
The afternoon session kicked off with some inspiring short talks by Hay Friends of the Earth, Green Valleys and Powys Transition, Size of Herefordshire, Greenpeace,Three Counties Orchard champion and the Spring greens festival.
This was followed by a very informative and question provoking session on energy. From feedback received, we may need to come back to this topic !
In summary, a very successful, well attended event which has informed, inspired and connected initiatives and environment conscious people.
